Chairman of the Board of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority Harry Rodríguez resigned Tuesday.
The office of Gov. Alejandro García Padilla announced Rodríguez's resignation.
Rodríguez started in his unpaid position in early 2013. He worked extensively on the debt restructuring deal with PREPA's bondholders, which still awaits execution.
On Tuesday García Padilla, in a press release, praised Rodríguez for his "excellent work."
Javier Quintana Mendez remains PREPA's executive director and Lisa Donahue remains its chief restructuring officer.
