Bond lawyer Ryan Pratt joins Moody’s in Atlanta

Moody’s Investors Service said it has hired Ryan Pratt as vice president of business development in the Southeast.

Ryan will be based in Atlanta, Moody’s first relationship manager to be based in the Southeast. He will be responsible for developing new business relationships and extending existing customer relationships in this region.

Previously, Ryan was previously at the law firm of King & Spaulding, where he specialized in representing investment banks as underwriter’s counsel in public offerings of tax-exempt bonds, as well as representing hospitals, health systems and government entities as bond counsel in connection with public offerings and direct placements of taxable and tax-exempt debt.

He has also worked at the law firm of Butler Snow and in the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office.

Ryan holds two degrees from the University of Mississippi, a JD from the school of law and a BA in psychology.
