Philly Analysts' Meeting to Focus on Pennsylvania Budget Battle

The Pennsylvania budget drama will take center stage at the Philadelphia Area Municipal Analyst Society meeting Wednesday.

G. Terry Madonna, professor of public affairs at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., will address the PhAMAS meeting scheduled for noon at Ballard Spahr on 1735 Market Street, Philadelphia. Madonna, who is director of the Franklin & Marshall Poll, will deliver a presentation entitled “Politics and Public Opinion in Pennsylvania” and will focus on Pennsylvania’s ongoing budget battle.

“The timing for this talk could not be better, considering that the Commonwealth's budget impasse has entered its fourth month,” said Steve Winterstein, chief municipal strategist at Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors and a founding officer of PhAMAS. “His discussion will help us better understand political influences and background in Harrisburg and throughout Pennsylvania.”
