NEW YORK - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it revised the outlook to positive from stable on Franklin County, Ohio's A rated series 1998 and 2003 revenue bonds, issued on behalf of the Online Computer Library Center Inc. (OCLC). The outlook was revised due to the organization's solid financial performance and growth in liquidity.
"The rating reflects OCLC's dominant market position in the computerized library cataloging, research, and service markets; growing number of general member libraries and users; and its fairly diverse revenue base," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Susan Carlson. "OCLC has a demonstrated history of positive financial operations and conservative fiscal management, with a manageable debt burden and adequate liquidity for the rating category."
Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, OCLC is a not-for-profit membership computer library service and research organization dedicated to providing access to resource information and reducing information costs.
