NY BCI Climbs to -0.55 From -9.41 in June: Fed

The Empire State Manufacturing Survey “indicates that conditions for New York manufacturers were flat in July” as the general business conditions index narrowed to negative 0.55 in July from negative 9.41 in June, according to a statement from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York yesterday.

Economists surveyed by Thomson Reuters had expected the index would be negative 5.00.
