New Director at OMB

Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner last week appointed Mike Jackson as acting director of the Office of Management and Budget following the resignation of Jennifer Davis.

“Mike has worked extremely well with agency heads and members of the General Assembly on budget and policy issues,” Minner said in a press release, adding that Jackson “will do a great job steering our state through uncertain financial times.”

Davis resigned last week to become vice president of administration at the University of Delaware. Davis will serve through Nov. 11.

Jackson, 34, has served as director of budget development planning and administration since July 2005. Prior to joining the OMB, he was chief of fiscal and policy analysis at the Delaware State Budget Office.

Jackson earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Delaware.
