Mortgage Applications Rise 0.2% in Week

Mortgage applications inched up 0.2% in the week ended April 19, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association's weekly mortgage applications survey.

The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage with conforming loan balances ($417,500 or less) rate dipped to 3.65% from 3.67%, while the average 15-year fixed-rate mortgage slid to 2.89% from 2.91%.
