Morgan Keegan Brings Spivack to Shattuck in N.Y.

BRADENTON, Fla. - Memphis-based Morgan Keegan & Co. has hired Maureen A. Spivack as a managing director in the firm's Shattuck Hammond Partners health care division in New York.

Just last month, Morgan Keegan added six new investment banking professionals to Shattuck Hammond's office in its Nashville office.

"Like our recent expansion to Nashville, the addition of Maureen in our New York office is part of an ongoing initiative to secure Shattuck Hammond's position as one of the nation's pre-eminent health care investment banking groups," Michael Hammond, a managing director at Morgan Keegan and head of the Shattuck Hammond division, said in a statement.

Spivack has more than 20 years of experience in financial transactions for publicly traded, privately held, and nonprofit health care companies, according to Morgan Keegan. Most recently she was a managing director in the global health care group at UBS Securities LLC. Before that she was a managing director in Merrill Lynch & Co.'s health care group for eight years and she was the head of the national health care corporate practice at Ernst & Young for 10 years.

Spivack received her MBA from the at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. She also holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from State University of New York at Albany and a master's degree in health planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

Morgan Keegan, which purchased Shattuck Hammond in June 2007, is a division of Birmingham, Ala.-based Regions Financial Corp.
