Moneta, which manages $50 billion dollars in assets, believes IMTC's technology will help consolidate its "fixed income portfolio construction, optimization, compliance and reporting into a purpose‑built bond platform," according to a press release. This consolidation will allow the firm to "expand its tax‑aware SMA program while giving advisors clearer visibility into clients' bond allocations across accounts."

"Demand for customized fixed income solutions continues to grow, and we are moving beyond legacy systems and manual workflows with IMTC," Moneta CIO Andrew Kelsen said in the release. "This gives our advisors a more scalable, consistent platform to support personalized portfolios and strengthen our capabilities to better serve clients."

IMTC's platform helps RIAs by bringing a scalable in-house fixed income separately managed account offering, simplifying how firms manage bond portfolios and providing more customization and tighter control over portfolio personalization.

The combination of these offerings "is what supports moving beyond legacy systems while expanding an advisor-led fixed income program," according to the Q&As on IMTC's website.

"Moneta, as a large-scale RIA wealth manager, is looking to deliver results for tens of thousands of clients," IMTC CEO Russell Feldman said in an interview. "Based on what their needs are in the market and the value that we're providing, it's a perfect match."

Feldman emphasized IMTC's impact on scalability and tax management. The platform allows firms to take on more business by consolidating portfolio management operations and helping the "sun set on legacy workflows and platforms." Additionally, the platform provides tax alpha and tax optimization features that have become paramount for their clients, he said.

Moneta was also interested in IMTC's integration with Orion — another fintech platform that contributes portfolio accounting, reporting and multi-account rebalancing.

"We're seeing a lot of our clients reduce the account minimums, and so they're able to actually take on more assets, take on more accounts with the same head count, rather than having to throw personnel at the problem," Feldman said. "They're able to leverage technology to scale their businesses and grow their revenue."
