NEW YORK – The seasonally adjusted Milwaukee Report on Business crept up to 55.5 in October from 55.4 in September, according to the Institute for Supply Management-Milwaukee.
New orders received fell to 50.6 from 53.4, production slid to 46.4 from 48.5, employment grew to 61.3 from 60.9, supplier deliveries fell to 55.8 from 57.1, and backlog of orders dropped to 41.7 from 46.7.
Inventory levels rose to 63.2 from 56.9, customers’ inventories grew to 32.3 from 31.0, prices slumped to 58.1 from 66.7, exports increased to 45.2 from 41.7 and imports slumped to 37.1 from 43.3.
