Lincoln County, S.D., Upgraded to Aa2 by Moody's

Moody's Investors Service said it has upgraded Lincoln County, S.D.'s general obligation and issuer ratings to Aa2 from Aa3.

The Aa2 rating applies to $6.4 million of Moody's rated general obligation limited tax (GOLT) debt.

The Aa2 rating reflects the county's healthy financial operations, ample reserves, and low debt burden. The rating also incorporates the county's favorable location near Sioux Falls (Aa2), its sizeable and growing tax base, and above average socioeconomic characteristics.
