The composite index of leading economic indicators rose 0.3% in December, the Conference Board reported yesterday.
LEI decreased an unrevised 0.4% in November.
The coincident index slid 0.5% after a 0.3% drop in November, while the lagging index fell 0.4% after a flat reading in November, originally reported as a 0.1% increase.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters predicted LEI would be off 0.3%.
