Gov. Tom Corbett Names Sasso to Chair Pennvest

Gov. Tom Corbett has named William Sasso of Gwynedd Valley chairman of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure and Investment Authority, or Pennvest.

The authority funds sewer, storm water and drinking water projects with financial assistance throughout the state.

Its funding also helps businesses to locate and expand operations within Pennsylvania.

Sasso, commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority and board chairman at Philadelphia law firm Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP, is active with community organizations, Corbett said in a statement.

Corbett also appointed the following board members: M. Joel Bolstein of Doylestown, Donald Gennuso of Pittsburgh, Bruce Hottle of Somerset and Jan Rea of McCandless.
