Construction spending decreased 0.1% in February, the Commerce Department said Wednesday, and is 2.1% above the February 2014 level.
In January, construction spending slid a revised 1.7%, first reported as a 1.1% decrease.
Spending on private construction grew 0.2% in the month, while public construction dropped 0.8%.
Residential construction dipped 0.2%.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters predicted a flat read on construction spending.
