Edwards Wildman Hires Gill in Boston

Sam Gill has joined Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP as a Boston-based public finance associate, the law firm announced.

Gill, 32, arrives from the Houston office of Andrews Kurth LLP.

He has served as bond counsel and disclosure counsel to municipalities in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable debt. He has worked on general obligation, revenue and special district bond financings.

Gill has advised cities and towns throughout Massachusetts in connection with the debt issuance through the Massachusetts Water Pollution Abatement Trust. He has also advised on issuance of qualified energy conservation bonds and clean renewable energy bonds by Massachusetts cities and towns, and has served as bond counsel to regional transit authorities throughout the commonwealth.

In addition, he has been bond counsel to New Hampshire municipalities.

Gill, a native of Stanley, N.M., practiced law in New Mexico and Texas and was bond counsel there. Before attending law school, he was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley.

He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of New Mexico. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
