Dec. CPI Revised to 0.3% Decline

Annual benchmark revisions to the Consumer Price Index, (1982-84 equals 100) resulted in the December CPI headline number being revised to a 0.3% decline from the initially reported 0.4% drop, the Labor Department said Friday.

The December core rate was revised to a 0.1% increase from the first-reported flat reading.

The November numbers were unrevised at a 0.3% decline in the headline number and a 0.1% rise in the core rate.
