The Utah Board of Regents last week voted to construct the first building on Utah State University’s Brigham City campus in a $15 million deal to be shared with the city.

Brigham City has agreed to issue $7.5 million, with the rest of the bonds coming from regents. The board also approved $23.8 million for the Utah State University Eastern Arts and Education Building, which will measure 60,000 square feet. The city’s branch of the university has been housed in a strip mall, with 1,012 students last fall.
