De Blasio: Kimball to Stay as EDC President

Bill de Blasio announced five more key appointments to his New York City mayoral administration, including the retention of Kyle Kimball as president of the New York City Economic Development Corp.

Kimball succeeded Seth Pinsky in July.

Other appointments de Blasio announced on Dec. 31, one day before his swearing-in, include Polly Trottenberg as transportation commissioner, Bob Linn as director of labor relations, Stanley Brezenoff as special advisor and Gilbert Taylor as commissioner of homeless services.

Trottenberg is the current undersecretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation.

According to a statement from de Blasio, Trottenberg will execute his "ambitious agenda" of expanding bus rapid transit in the outer boroughs, reducing traffic fatalities, and increasing bicycle use.

Brezenoff served as deputy mayor for operations and first deputy mayor under Ed Koch.
