Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term and underlying ratings to AA-plus from AA on Cooke County, Texas' general obligation debt outstanding.
The outlook is stable.
"We base the upgrade on the county's record of strong budgetary performance, which has produced very strong general fund reserves," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Alexander Rawlings. "The upgrade is also supported by Cooke County's very strong debt profile."
