The Chicago Fed Midwest manufacturing index slipped 0.3% in June to a seasonally adjusted level of 78.1 after the May report showed a revised 3.0% decrease to 78.3, originally reported as 3.1% drop to 78.2, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago reported yesterday.
Nationally, the Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for manufacturing fell 0.6% in June. Overall manufacturing output in the region dropped 25.2% from a year earlier, compared to a 15.4% decline in output nationally in that period.
