CDFA Plans Inaugural Florida Roundtable

BRADENTON, Fla. - The Council of Development Finance Agencies plans two, one-day conferences in the Southeast this year.

CDFA Financing Roundtables will be held May 21 in Orlando, Fla., and June 4 in Atlanta.

Topics to be covered include bonds, tax increment finance, tax credits, revolving loan funds, capital access, energy finance, seed and venture capital, public-private partnerships, and other tools supporting economic development finance.

"CDFA is very proud to announce the launch of this new state roundtable for the development finance industry in Florida," said Toby Rittner, CDFA's president and chief executive officer. "Florida has been very active in CDFA over the years and launching this roundtable is a milestone achievement for both CDFA and the leadership in the state."

The one-day conference titled, "Advancing Development Finance in the Sunshine State" will feature economic development finance experts and leaders from around the state discussing new development finance tools, authorities, resources and approaches, and how these methods can move Florida's economy forward, CDFA said.

The Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando will be the venue for the Sunshine state's roundtable.

Georgia's second annual financing roundtable conference will take place at the AMA Atlanta Executive Conference Center in midtown, and will cover "Development Finance Best Practices: Programs and Tools that Work."

Other roundtables will be held this year in Austin, Tex., Chicago, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Columbus, Ohio.

Registration for the conferences is available online at www.cdfa.net/cdfa/roundtables.nsf/register.
