Nixon Peabody LLP public finance attorney Navjeet Bal has joined the board of directors of the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center.
MassBudget produces policy research, analysis, and recommendations. Its board includes Michael Dukakis, the former governor and 1988 presidential candidate.
Bal joined Nixon Peabody last fall after serving as the commonwealth’s commissioner of revenue.
She also worked in the public finance group of the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo PC for 17 years.
“Navjeet’s diverse background and experience both in the private and public sectors will be a great asset,” said board chairman Peter Enrich.
