American College of Bond Counsel Picks Pope to Lead; Adds 23 Fellows

Robert Dean Pope, a partner at Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Va., was elected president of the American College of Bond Counsel at the group's annual meeting late last month in San Antonio.

He replaces Margaret Pope of Pope Ziegler LLC in Columbia, S.C. Also elected were Philip Genetos of Ice Miller LLP in Indianapolis, who replaces Dean Pope as vice president; Clifford Gerber of Sidley Austin LLP in San Francisco, who remains treasurer; and Cynthia Weed of K&L Gates LLP in Seattle, who replaces Genetos as secretary.

Virginia Benjamin of Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP in Cleveland and Lisa Soeder of Lisa Soeder & Associates LLC in Hartford, Conn., were elected new directors.

Genetos was elected to serve a third term as a director. John McWilliams 3d of Livermore, Freeman & McWilliams PA in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and John Van Duys of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd PA in Columbia were elected to second terms as directors.

In addition, 23 new fellows were elected, including: Arto Becker with Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP; Robert Collie Jr. with Andrews Kurth LLP; Albert del Castillo, Timothy Pickrell, and Edward Sinick from Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP; Patricia Curtner and James Luebchow from Chapman and Cutler LLP; and Robert Dransfield, Donald Hunt, W. Jeffrey Kuhn, and Stanford Ladner from Fulbright & Jawarski LLP; Travis Gibbs with Nixon Peabody LLP; and Janet Goelz Hoffman with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.
