Puerto Rico August Revenues Beat Budget by 1.9%

Puerto Rico's August revenues came in 1.9% above budget projections.

The government had expected $539.7 million in General Fund net revenues and instead received $550 million.

The categories that had the biggest exceedances from budgeted numbers were individual income taxes with $10.9 million and sales and use taxes with $10.6 million.

The categories with the biggest budget shortfalls were non-resident withholdings with $10.9 million and corporate taxes with $9.9 million.

Through the first two months of the fiscal year Puerto Rico's General Fund Net Revenues are 1.5% above estimates.
