Hudson Yards Office Tower Announced

Nitsui Fudosan America Inc. -- the U.S. operations of Japan's largest real estate company - Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group plan to build an office tower building at the new 28-acre Hudson Yards development on Manhattan's West Side.

The complex, called 55 Hudson Yards, will sit at the intersection of Hudson Yards, the High Line and Hudson Park & Boulevard. Its entrance will be adjacent to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's new No. 7 line extension, with Penn Station a five-minute walk away.

Completion for the 51-story, 1.3 million gross square foot building is expected by 2018, the companies said in a statement.

Hudson Yards, the largest development in New York City since Rockefeller Center, will include more than 17 million square feet of commercial and residential space, more than 100 shops and restaurants and roughly 5,000 residences.
