CHICAGO — Ohio-based boutique investment firm Lancaster Pollard has a new leadership team.

Nick Gesue, previously senior vice president and chief credit officer, is chief executive officer. Kass Matt, managing director, has been named president of Lancaster Pollard Holdings Co. LLC.

Gesue helped develop the firm's mortgage lending platform and private equity fund and balance sheeting lending operations, the firm said in a press release announcing the promotions.

Tom Green, CEO, and Brian Pollard, president, are stepping down effective July 16. They will remain at the firm, serving on the board as chairman and vice chairman, respectively.

Ken Gould and Steve Kennedy have both been promoted to senior managing director. Gould was managing director and regional manager for the Northeast and Kennedy was Great Lakes and South Central regions. Gould will also chair of the strategic planning and development committee and Kennedy will be the company's senior government liaison.

"We began this transition a couple years ago as we recognized the need to best harness our firm's growing talent base," Green said in a statement. "Although Brian and I will continue with a very active role in the company, I'm extremely confident in the abilities of our team to maintain and enhance Lancaster Pollard's commitment to our clients and the industries we serve."

The firm specializes in the senior living, health care and affordable housing sectors. It underwrites tax-exempt and taxable bond offerings and provides private equity, investing and M&A advisory services, among other services.

Lancaster has six offices across the country and more than 100 employees.
