Gary Binkiewicz, a 35-year veteran in the municipal bond market, has joined R. Seelaus and Co. as a senior vice president and head municipal bond analyst after just over two years at FirstSouthwest, where he held the same position.
"We have a solid platform here with good people and I'm glad to be here," said Binkiewicz, whose hiring was announced last month. "We are looking to grow and I look forward to advising the firm in strategic transactions motivated by credit research and market strategies to help grow revenue in trading and sales."
Binkiewicz also said that his goal is to help increase revenue generation and to create new opportunities for the firm's institutional and individual clients.
Binkiewicz has worked for UBS, FSI Capital, Lord Abbett, Emmett & Co., Southwest Securities and Wells Fargo, according to his LinkedIn page. In announcing his hiring, Summit, N.J.-based R. Seelaus said Binkiewicz had experience in the rating agency, bond insurance, and buy-side municipal bond credit research areas.
