Construction spending increased 0.1% in June, the Commerce Department said Monday, and is 12.0% above the June 2014 level.
In May, construction spending rose 1.8%, first reported as a 0.8% increase.
Spending on private construction fell 0.5% in the month, while public construction gained1.6%.
Residential construction gained 0.4%.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters predicted a 0.6% increase in construction spending.
