Muni Mutual Funds Report $244.26 Million in Inflows

Story: Municipal mutual funds reported inflows increased to $244.26 million in the week ended April 23 from $74.03 million of inflows the week before. Assets of all weekly reporting municipal funds increased to $285.25 billion from $284.69 billion, Lipper FMI reported.

The four-week moving average inflow advanced to $127.7 million from $13.56 million.

Long-term municipal mutual funds that report their flows weekly had an inflow of $245.17 million following an inflow of $360.53 million the previous week.

Those assets inched up to $153.52 billion after ending at $152.99 billion the week before. The four-week moving average of the long-term fund was increased to an inflow of $248.30 million from $161.23 million the week before.

Inflows to high-yield mutual funds slipped to $233.75 million from the previous week's $299.30 million. Assets rose to $408.87 billion, from $405.45 billion, while the four-week moving average inflow slipped to $108.53 million from $127.89 million.
