Final November U. of Mich. Index at 75.1 vs. 73.2 in October

The University of Michigan's final November consumer sentiment index reading was 75.1, compared to the preliminary November 72.0, the final October 73.2, and the preliminary October 75.2 reading, according to market sources.

The expectations index was 66.8, compared to the 62.3 earlier in November, the final October 62.5, and the preliminary October 63.9.

The current conditions index was 88.0, compared to the 87.2 earlier in November, the final October 89.9, and the preliminary October 92.8.

Economists polled by Thomson Reuters had predicted a 73.3 reading for the main index, 89.0 for current conditions and 66.2 for expectations.

The five-year inflation expectation index was 2.9%, compared to 2.8% in October, while the one-year inflation expectation index was 2.9%, compared to 3.0% in October.

The University of Michigan index is not released to the press, but only to paying subscribers.
