Initial Jobless Claims Rise 38,000 to 368,000 in Week Ended Jan. 26
Initial claims for U.S. state unemployment benefits jumped more than expected in the January 26 week, up 38,000 to 368,000 after plunging to its lowest level in five years in the previous week, the Labor Department reported Thursday.
