Tom Innis Joins Raymond James in San Francisco

Raymond James has hired Tom Innis as managing director in the firm's public finance group.

Innis started on July 22 and is based out of San Francisco, where he is one of four public finance associates.

"Tom's depth of expertise and experience in providing financing solutions to municipal bond issuers will further strengthen our commitment to the Western region," said Rob Baird, senior managing director and head of public finance and debt investment banking. "With his track record of success, Tom will be a valuable addition to our San Francisco-based public finance team, and will help us achieve our goal of being one of the go-to underwriting firms in California and throughout the West."

Previously a managing director and co-head of the national utility practice at Stifel Nicolaus, Innis served as lead banker on numerous municipal projects and financings for water, wastewater, and electric utilities.

Innis began his career in investment banking at PaineWebber Inc. in 1994. He received his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy and his business degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

"Having competed with Tom for many years, as well as having worked with him on several transactions, I know he is an outstanding banker with a well-deserved reputation for professionalism and the highest ethical standards," said Rob Larkins, managing director and western region manager at Raymond James. "Tom always puts the client's interests first, which is reflected in a fantastic resume of repeat business from many of the leading water and sewer issuers in California."

Raymond James ranked number nine nationally among municipal bond underwriters in 2012 by volume, according to Thomson Reuters data, working on 748 issues worth $12.1 billion, and ranked at number ten for the first half of 2013. The firm's public finance practice has more than 180 professionals in 27 locations nationwide.
