State revenues maintain strong pace

Sales tax revenues in the first four months of fiscal 2013 total $8.52 billion.

Total state revenues in fiscal 2013 of $13.3 billion include $875.6 million in crude oil production taxes and $440.8 million from natural gas production.

Local governments will receive a distribution totaling $530.8 million from the December sales tax collections, up 7.3% from last year.

Cities will receive a total of $349.3 million, with $118.2 million for transit districts. Counties will receive $36.6 million, with $26.7 million for local special districts.

Houston will receive an allocation of $44.9 million from the December receipts, with $18.4 million for San Antonio, $16.9 million for Dallas, and $8.3 million for Fort Worth.
