- The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $28 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated May 10 and due Aug 9. The 182-day bills are dated May 10 and due Nov. 8. Currently, there are $30.993 billion of 91-day bills outstanding and no 182-day bills.
- Consumer credit figures for March are released by the Federal Reserve Board.
TUESDAY, May 8
- The Treasury will auction $32 billion of three-year notes dated May 15 and due May 15 2015.
WEDNESDAY, May 9
- Wholesale trade figures for March are announced by the Commerce Department.
- The Treasury will auction $24 billion of 10-year notes dated May 15 and due May 15 2022.
THURSDAY, May 10
- Initial jobless claims for the week ending May 5 are announced by the Labor Department.
- International trade figures for March are released by the Commerce Department.
- Import and export prices for April are released by the Labor Department.
- The federal budget deficit or surplus for April is released by the Treasury Department.
- The Treasury will auction $16 billion of 30-year bonds dated May 15 and due May 15 2042.
FRIDAY, May 11
- Producer price figures for April are released by the Labor Department.
- Preliminary consumer sentiment figures for May are released by the University of Michigan.
