Revs Up, But Underwhelms

Indiana collected less revenue than expected last month, though revenues remained up for the first eight months of the fiscal year, officials said this week.

February’s revenue collections totaled $719 million, $29 million less than projected by mid-December revenue forecast. Sales tax collections were up by 2.2% to $499 million compared to the same period last year, officials said.

Individual income tax collections totaled $154 million, up 6.2% over the same month last year.

General fund revenues for the first eight months of the fiscal year were over expectations by $39 million, or 0.4%.
