After being forced by Hurricane Sandy to relocate some operations, municipal underwriter Samuel Ramirez & Co. is back in downtown Manhattan.
Earlier last week the company operated out of a backup location in Newark, N.J., said chief operating officer Daniel Keating.
However, the firm got electricity back at its headquarters in downtown Manhattan on Thursday. The firm’s professionals have since made a transition back to working in the New York office.
The firm is still having problems with incoming phone calls at its regular number (212) 248-0500, Keating said. Through Thursday, November 8, callers can reach the company at (646) 398-5630.
The firm has access to the Internet and its Bloomberg terminals.
