Retail sales rose 1.8% in the week ended October 13, after jumping 1.6% the week before, according to the weekly retail sales report released by Johnson Redbook Tuesday.
Month-to-date, October was up 1.7% compared to October of last year (relative to a target of a 1.9% gain). Month-over-month showed a 1.5% drop (relative to a target of a 1.4% drop).
Inflows returned to muni mutual funds as investors added $200.3 million for the week ending Wednesday after $1.474 billion of outflows, according to LSEG Lipper.
