Director Wild Quits Nassau County Authority

The Nassau County, N.Y., Interim Finance Authority’s director, Robert Wild, has resigned.

Wild submitted his resignation to Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Aug. 9, citing his changed personal, professional and community commitments as reasons why he has decided to resign.

“The board would like to express its deep appreciation to Mr. Wild for his dedicated service to NIFA and the people of Nassau County,” a statement from the board of directors said. “He has been a diligent and productive contributor to the work of NIFA over the past two years.”

Wild’s term had expired on Dec. 31, 2010, but he remained on the board, as permitted under the NIFA statute, because a replacement was not appointed.
