Vallejo Hires New Finance Chief

The bankrupt city of Vallejo has hired Deborah Lauchner as its new finance director.

Lauchner replaces Robert Stout, who retired earlier this year after working for the city for seven years. Stout is still working as a consultant for the city through its bankruptcy.

For the last 10 years, Lauchner has worked as senior financial manager in Rohnert Park and Novato.

She also worked as assistant treasurer and tax collector in Santa Cruz County, as well as a credit manager for the federal government.

Lauchner will receive a salary of $163,685, according to a statement by the city. She will start on May 9.
