Obituary: George E. Monusky

George E. Monusky, 59, a retired trader, died April 12 in Rochester, N.H., following a neurological illness.

Born June 8, 1949, in Rockville Center, N.Y., Mr. Monusky was the son of George J. and Dorothy (Scro) Monusky.

He graduated from Hofstra University and worked as a municipal bond trader, retiring from Dean Witter in 1993. He was a member of the Municipal Bond Club of New York.

He and his wife moved to Rochester in New Hampshire, where they owned and operated the Highland St. Convenience Store in East Rochester for 12 years.

Mr. Monusky was a former member of both the Rochester Country Club and the Hempstead Country Club in Long Island, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary-Jo (Rigazio) Monusky, his father, two brothers, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are scheduled today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., Rochester, N.H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church located on Lowell Street in Rochester. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery on Lowell Street following the service.
