GDOT Talks Turkey on P3s

The Georgia Department of Transportation today hosts an industry workshop in Atlanta about its new public-private partnership program.

The workshop will provide members of the local, national, and international transportation industry with a comprehensive overview of Georgia’s new program, including its goals, new regulatory framework, project priorities, and anticipated time frames for next steps.

“Fostering an open dialog with our industry partners is critical to advancing a P3 program that will help meet Georgia’s long-term transportation needs,” GDOT commissioner Vance Smith said.

Georgia recently announced that it is taking a “programmatic” approach to P3s and has developed a pipeline of projects that are expected to be accomplished through a solicited procurement process.

“This allows us to prioritize needs, set schedules that we can effectively manage, and make available the appropriate resources to ensure our partnerships are successful,” Smith said.
