The Federal Reserve Bank of New York yesterday confirmed that William Dudley will be its next president.
Dudley, 56, succeeds Timothy Geithner.
Geithner was confirmed as U.S. Treasury secretary by the Senate Monday night in a 60-to-34 vote.
Dudley’s appointment by the New York Fed’s Board of Directors has already been approved by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
