Treasury to Sell $34B 4-Week Bills

The Treasury Department said yesterday it will sell $34 billion of four-week discount bills Monday.

There are currently $95.999 billion of four-week, or 28-day, bills outstanding.

The bills settle July 16 and are due August 13.

Federal Reserve banks hold $6.285 billion in maturing bills in their own accounts.

Treasury also said it will auction $35 billion 70-day cash management bills on Wednesday, July 15. The cash management bills settle July 16 and are due Sept. 24.
