The 10 award winners are finalists for the national Deal of the Year Award, which will be announced at a virtual event on Dec. 16.

Getting crisis leadership right is vital to the well-being of employees, customers, and ultimately the business itself.

Both women will be honored as part of The Bond Buyer's Deal of the Year gala on Dec. 4 in New York City.

Katano Kasaine, director of finance for the City of Oakland, Calif., and Noreen White, co-founder of Acacia Financial Group, will receive the 2018 Freda Johnson Award for Trailblazing Women in Public Finance.
