Yellen: No conversation yet about future

Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet Yellen said she has had no conversations with President Trump about her future as Fed chair.

She would not comment on whether she would like another four-year term as chair.

As for the Fed Board vacancies, Yellen said she hopes there will be nominations and confirmations “in the not too distant future” to fill the Fed Board.

She also addressed the 2% inflation target, defending it, but saying it would be reconsidered in the future. "Right now, we're highly focused on trying to achieve our 2% target," she said.
