The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $15 billion of 30-year bonds with a 2 7/8% coupon at a 2.902% high yield, a price of 99.461607.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.11.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 35.56%.
The median yield was 2.826%. The low yield was 2.688%.
Tenders totaled $31,602,396,800 and the Treasury accepted $15,000,000,000 including $9,500,800 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also purchased $3,283,818,600 for their own account.
The bonds dated Nov. 15, will mature Nov. 15, 2046.
