Philadelphia Fed Non-Mfg Regional Index Rises to 26.3 in Nov.

The region's non-manufacturing sector gained in November, as the general business conditions index rose to 26.3 from 17.5 in October, this month's Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Report on Business indicates.

At the company level, the general business activity index slid to 26.3 from 37.5.

The prices paid index was 19.3, up from 17.5 last month, new orders index dropped to 15.8 from 30.0, sales or revenues increased to 22.8 from 17.5, the unfilled orders index declined to 3.5 from 15.0, the inventories index fell to 5.3 from 10.0, prices received slipped to 21.1 from 22.5, the number of full time employees index plunged to 10.5 from 20.0, the number of part time employees index fell to 8.8 from 15.0, and the average employee workweek slumped to 8.8 from 20.0.

The six months from now regional general business conditions index grew to 43.9 from 42.5, while the company general business conditions index increased to 50.9 from 52.5.
