The region's non-manufacturing sector dropped in February, as the general business conditions index slid to 3.6 from 5.1 in January, this month's Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Report on Business indicates.
At the company level, the general business activity index grew to 25.6 from 21.4.
The prices paid index was 18.9, up from 16.8 last month, new orders index crept to 14.6 from 14.5, sales or revenues decreased to 9.1 from 14.0, the unfilled orders index gained to 2.6 from 1.7, the inventories index fell to negative 0.5 from positive 1.5, prices received gained to 22.4 from 16.7, the number of full time employees index slid to 11.1 from 12.8, and the average employee workweek grew to 23.2 from 19.2.
The six months from now regional general business conditions index increased to 13.7 from 11.2, while the company general business conditions index rose to 30.5 from 23.5.
