The region's non-manufacturing sector slipped in April, as the general business conditions index declined to 13.5 from 13.9 in March, this month's Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Report on Business indicates.
At the company level, the general business activity index gained to 17.8 from 17.5.
The prices paid index was 10.9, up from 3.2 last month, new orders index fell to 13.9 from 17.0, sales or revenues decreased to 9.6 from 19.0, the unfilled orders index gained to 6.2 from 5.7, the inventories index dropped to 6.5 from 8.3, prices received fell to 13.9 from 23.5, the number of full time employees index rose to 7.5 from 6.1, and the average employee workweek soared to 24.8 from 6.0.
The six months from now regional general business conditions index gained to 35.2 from 32.9, while the company general business conditions index rose to 56.0 from 42.2.
