OREGON: New Debt Director

Laura Lockwood-McCall started work Monday as the new director of the debt management division of Oregon's State Treasury.

Lockwood-McCall has been active in government finance for nearly 20 years, most recently as director of capital facilities and debt management for Contra Costa County, Calif.

She has overseen issuance of approximately $4.5 billion of municipal bonds while serving in senior local and state government finance positions in California, Virginia, and Florida, according to the press release from the office of Oregon Treasurer Randall Edwards.

The debt management division coordinates all state-issued debt, including more than $6 billion of outstanding general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, and certificates of participation.
